Wall of Zombies is a Witch Doctor Tier 5 skill unlocked at level 14. One of the more creative skills in Diablo III, WoZ causes a tightly-spaced line of zombies to erupt from the ground, blocking the progress of monsters and tearing apart any monsters that come into their reach.

This is a signature skill of the Witch Doctor.

Zombie wall killing Skeletons.

This skill looks like a lot of fun to everyone who sees it. It's not been tested in any of the Blizzcon demos, so little is known about the short or long term damage capacity.

Skill Rank Table

  • Rank 1: Zombies emerge from the ground and attack nearby monsters for 7 damage per second. Cost: 13 mana.

Trait Synergies

Various Witch Doctor traits provide bonuses across the board to his magical abilities. The only traits that seem like to specifically boost Wall of Zombies are these:

Note: The current trait list is very out-of-date and will no doubt be overhauled before game release.

Skill Rune Effects

We want dental! we want dental!
  • No rune effects for Wall of Zombies are known.

Development

Wall of Zombies was first introduced in the WWI 2008 gameplay video when Diablo III premiered. Back then, it was in the Voodoo Skill Tree, then moved to the Zombie Skill Tree, before skill trees were removed for the game.

It's not been seen in action since, other than in short gameplay clips.
