Drain Power is a Wizard trait. It transfers damage dealt to health and Arcane Power, essentially giving the Wizard dual leech from spells, in Diablo II terms.

Drain Power Properties

Drain Power

  • Clvl Req: 35
  • Description: The Wizard regenerates health and Arcane Power from the damage dealt.
  • Max points: 3
    • Rank One: 10% of damage dealt is regenerated to health and Arcane Power.
    • Rank Two: Unknown.
    • Rank Three: Unknown.
  • Lore: Not yet known.

This trait sounds enormously useful, to the point of being overpowered. High level Wizard spells would surely deal enough damage to keep the character constantly full of health and resource.

Classes

This is a Wizard-only trait.

Synergies

Spells that dealt damage over time would seem very useful with this. Could a Wizard standing in her own field of damage from Blizzard or Arcane Torrent or Meteor or some other AoE, DfA spell heal back more quickly than the damage she took, and serve as her own honey pot to attract and focus the enemy?
