Corruoption database description.

Corruption are crafted legendary shoulders that can only be created in Reaper of Souls.

To create these, find the Plan: Corruption, which can be randomly dropped randomly by any level 70 target, and teach the plan to the Blacksmith.

Corruption properties[edit | edit source]

These shoulders have no inherent stats and no legendary property. The can roll with higher numbers than rare shoulders, but the lack of any special modifiers means that numerous legendary and crafted set shoulders will offer better bonuses for the end game.

  • All stats listed in the database scale up to the level of the belt when dropped.
  • See the sample screenshots below to see how this belt will roll at level 70.

The alchemist Lyekurn spent many years formulating
the exact shape and nature of this armor so that it
would draw upon the power of Azmodan, yet keep the
wearer safe from his corrupting influence.

Crafting[edit | edit source]

Once a player finds the randomly-dropped recipe, Plan: Corruption, and teaches it to the Blacksmith, the item can be created by any character on that account. This item always has a lvl 70 requirement, no matter what level character crafts it. The Smart Loot system means that this item will usually roll with a mainstat and/or +skill damage bonus appropriate to the class of the character that creates it.

Crafting Costs:

Patch 2.0.6 controversially[1] removed Legendary Materials, which changed the crafting costs for every level 70 RoS recipe. Prior to that patch Board Walkers required 1 Lyekurn's Diary, 1 Death's Breath, and 45 Veiled Crystals.

Item Examples[edit | edit source]

Several examples of this item can be seen below. View more samples of Corruption via DiabloNut's armory.

Legendary Material[edit | edit source]

Legendary Materials were controversially[2] removed in Patch 2.0.6. The following is archived for posterity.

The required legendary material, Lyekurn's Diary is one of the easier materials to find. It can be dropped only by Azmodan, the Act Boss of Act Three. Players can reach him quickly by moving to the stairs at the end of the Core of Arreat level, and he is found in the same location every game.
