Rockworms are large wormlike monsters that live underground and ambush the player by shooting up through a hole to either bite or drag the player back underground for some time.

Subtypes[edit | edit source]

Act II

  • Rockworm
  • Savage Rockworm

Act III

  • Demonic Serpent

In Alphabetical Order

Demonic Serpent[edit | edit source]

  • Found in Act III - Arreat Crater (1,2)
  • Melee attack with its razor sharp teeth
  • Burrow If you move a short distance from the serpent it retracts back into its hole and burrows underground. It will re-emerge again next to you. You can tell when it's about to pop up again as the ground cracks very slightly first. They can also attack in multiples. They can be a bit slippery to kill as they retract when they take damage so it takes a couple of pops before you can kill them.

Rockworm[edit | edit source]

  • Found in Act II - Cave of Burrowing Horror (1), Flooded Cave (1,2) and Vile Cavern (1)
    • Melee attack with its razor sharp teeth. Not quite as powerful as the Demonic Serpent

Savage Rockworm[edit | edit source]

  • Found in Act II - Sirocco Caverns (1) and Tunnels of the Rockworm
  • The toughest of all the Rockworms.
  • Swallow Works just like Burrow but instead of popping back up to take a bite of your it pops up and grabs you and drags you back underground and then spits you back out again a few seconds later.
