This page provides information on Everybody Loves Shen[e] Achievement. It details when the conversations become available from Shen, the Jeweler.


Shen does not appear until Act II so you will need to revisit Act I after you have unlocked him, he will be there in Tristram waiting for you.


If you are going back to quests in order to get these conversations make sure you check the Jeweler first for any conversations he has available. If they are white text listen to them. Some conversations won't appear if he has others not listened to (white text).

The Restless Dead[edit | edit source]

Conversation[edit | edit source]

Shen: "You are very brave to venture outside the town gates. I hear there are all sorts of dangerous things crawling around out there.

Player: "The risen dead are truly abominations."

Shen: "That's terrible! I only meant the rats and snakes."

Tell Me About Yourself[edit | edit source]

Conversation[edit | edit source]

Shen: "Ah, a very interesting topic, heh-heh! I sell Jewels."

Player: "Well, I suppose that could be interesting. What are you doing so far from Xiansai?"

Shen: "The women!" Young ladies chasing me around all day and night, begging for a kiss! I had to leave! It was the only honorable thing to do."

Player: "I somehow feel that you aren't being entirely truthful with me."

Shen: "Truth? Never touch the stuff."

Available after completing the Blood and Sand quest in Act II when you first rescue the Jeweler. You can also listen to this conversation after completing the quest The Legacy of Cain in Tristram on nightmare difficulty if you missed it when first meet him on normal difficulty.


Deckard Cain[edit | edit source]

Conversation[edit | edit source]

Shen: "Hm, I do like this Deckard Cain fellow. It's rare that I can find someone I have so much in common with."

Player: "You two do not seem very similar."

Shen: "We both had rather interesting experiences with the Zakarum priestesses in our youths."

Shen: "You know, there is nothing in the world quite so perfect as jewels. They have color, size, shape... transparency."

Player: "You love jewels more than some men love their wives."

Shen: "Oh, it might be that I'd have loved their wives more than they."

After accepting the quest A Shattered Crown from Cain in Tristram.

Shen: "Well... though I never knew him personally, I saw Leoric himself when he was building his manor. A troubled man with a heavy burden upon his fragile mind. Is it any wonder that he built such a home for himself? What he needed was someone to teach him how to laugh once in a while."

Shen: "Oh, perhaps it was a jewel that fell from the sky. Did you ever consider that?"

Player: "The truth is even stranger. It was a man."

Shen: "A man? Now, that is strange. Where do you suppose he came from? And how did he survive his fall? Did he have any jewels on him?"

Shen: "Such a strange place this world is. You never know what you might find over the next rise, or what the next day might bring. A man who fell from the sky, a king who cannot die. I can tell I will have no dull days, traveling with you."

Shen: "It's a cruel world that would take Deckard Cain away from us. His was never an easy life, and he gave much for us all.

Player: "I will ensure that Maghda and her coven pay for Cain's death in full."

Shen: "We all pay. Just look at the face of Leah, the poor girl. What price could the Coven pay that could be greater than that?"
