Diablo III patch v1.0.5 was released on '''16 October 2012''', after several weeks of testing on the [[Public Test Realm]]. The patch introduced numerous major changes into the game, including the [[Infernal Machine]] and [[Monster Power]] system, greatly reduced the base settings for [[Inferno]] difficulty, and tweaked dozens of major changes to skills and rune effects.
