Each of the five characters in Diablo III has a different resource that fuels their spells and skills. Unlike Diablo II, only the #redirect Witch Doctor uses mana as a resource. These resources function in different ways, adding variety to the character designs and to item modifiers. The descriptions below are just quick summaries of the skills. See their article pages for full details.  ==The Resources== The Barbarian uses Fury. Fury charges up when the Barbarian takes or deals damage, and slowly drains away if not used. Powerful skills require Fury to use, but if the Barbarian deals big damage while using them, he can more than recoup the Fury expended. The total pool of Fury can not be increased, though equipment and skills can increase the filling speed and slow slowed the rate at which it drains away.* Barbarian skills.  The Monk uses Spirit. Spirit is fueled up by using Combo Skills, and expended when the Monk uses his more powerful skills.* Monk skills.  The Witch Doctor uses mana. Mana works much as it did in Diablo II; the Witch Doctor has a pool of it, and some amount of mana is spent with every spell he casts. Skills and equipment can increase the mana pool and the regeneration rate.* Witch Doctor skills.  The Wizard uses Arcane Power. Arcane Power works a bit like mana, with a pool from which spell costs are subtracted, but there is no way to increase the total size of the pool; just the speed with which it refills. Low level Wizard spells cost very little AP, while more powerful ones cost more. Wizards are never completely out of AP, and can always cast spells, though only the lowest level ones until more of the resource regenerates. Wizards previously used mana, then Instability before changing to Arcane Power.* Wizard skills.  The Fifth Character and her resource will be revealed at Blizzcon 2010.
