Festering Woods

The Festering Woods are located within Act I. You first come across it after you are sent there by Alaric who stands in the Drowned Temple outside area next to the woods. He will send you on a quest to retrieve two keys in The Broken Blade quest.

- Grimsmack - Stover of Heads, Unique
[edit] Checkpoints
Checkpoints are respawn points. Players who die appear back at the last checkpoint they reached. Players can also leave the game and resume at the last checkpoint at a later date. In effect they are a 'save game' feature. The following Checkpoints appear in Festering Woods
- Just across the bridge that Alaric raises for you from the Drowned Temple to The Festering Woods on The Broken Blade quest.
- Just inside the entrance of Warrior's Rest and Crypt of the Ancients on The Broken Blade quest.
- Just back across the bridge from The Festering Woods to the Drowned Temple once you have collected the Beacons on The Broken Blade quest.
[edit] Waypoint
Waypoints are special plates on the ground that form a network of jump points allowing players to instantly teleport between them. The waypoint in Festering Woods appears in one of three locations running up the centre of the map.
