The WarCraft universe is the first major one created by Blizzard Entertainment back in 1994, and has continued to evolve to this day and World of WarCraft.

As with the other Blizzard universes, it has expanded through novels, table top games, comics and soon also feature a film.

Film adaption[edit | edit source]

At BlizzCon 2007 Blizzard announced a partnership with Legendary Pictures to make a WarCraft movie. Little details have been revealed so far.


Comics & Manga[edit | edit source]

A number of comic adaptations have been made including:

  • WarCraft: The Sunwell Trilogy, a manhwa series published by Tokyopop.
  • World of WarCraft, the current ongoing series published by DC Comics imprint Wildstorm.
  • World of WarCraft: Ashbringer, a four-issue mini-series series published by DC Comics imprint Wildstorm.
  • WarCraft: Legends, a four-part graphic novel series, which is a continuation from The Sunwell Trilogy.
