Wall of Zombies is a Tier Vive Witch Doctor skill. One of the more creative skills in Diablo III, WoZ causes a tightly-spaced line of zombies to erupt from the ground, blocking the progress of monsters and tearing apart any monsters that come into their reach. It's a signature skill of the Witch Doctor.

Skill Design

Zombie wall killing Skeletons.

This skill looks like a lot of fun to everyone who sees it. It's not been tested in any of the Blizzcon demos, so little is known about the short or long term damage capacity.

Skill Rank Table

The stats as of Blizzcon 2009, when the skill listed only one level possible. It's assumed that it can go up to 5/10/15 skills in the final game, like all the other skills.

  • Rank: 1/1
    • Zombies emerge from the ground and attack nearby monsters for 7 damage per second.
    • Mana Cost: 13 mana

Synergies

Various Witch Doctor traits provide bonuses across the board to his magical abilities. The only traits that seem like to specifically boost Wall of Zombies are these:

Runestone Effects

No runestone effects on Zombie Wall are yet known. It's certainly interesting to speculate what they might do, though. Elemental damage? How about an ambulatory wall?

Development

Wall of Zombies was first introduced in the WWI 2008 gameplay demo. It's not been seen in action since, other than in short gameplay clips.
