Values are influenced by the relative need of buyers as well as the overall generosity and/or wealth of sellers. Shifts in supply and demand will occur, just as they would in any other free-market or mixed economy. Have some discretion when using this guide. The listed values are no more than rough estimates (read: opinions) of the relative values of items. Members of this community, as well as DiabloII.net itself or any of its affiliates, shall not be held responsible in any way, shape, or form for any dissatisfaction resulting from the use and/or misuse of this guide.

The SPTF has no official currency. Despite this, prices have been given values in terms of perfect gems (henceforth dubbed "pgems") as well as runes, as these are (more often than not) the preferred methods of payment.

Set and Unique PriceCheck[edit | edit source]

We have chosen to categorize them via type of item, helm, armor etc. All prices are listed as a range between approximate minima and maxima. If the price is a number, it is a number of perfect gems. Otherwise, the price is a rune.

Learn how to PC rare items[edit | edit source]

So you want to learn how to PC? Heres's a checklist you could use when you try to PC your own items. The first part would I advice you to use on rare circlets/amulets and rings (skip ?????????????hen it comes to rings since they don't spawn with +skills). The other part process belts/gloves/boots. Remember that a combination of the mentioned mods is what makes a rare item valuable.

Circlets/amulets/rings[edit | edit source]

  1. The first thing when you find a rare item is to compare it to othr items. By compare it to a set/unique items is a very good start. If your rare item has similar mods as a unique it's probably not worth so much. However if the set/unique item is very rare your rare item can be of high value. A good compare when it comes to amulets is to compare to Mara's Kaleidoscope.
  2. Check if the item has any +skills. These can be either class- or skilltree-specific. Most people prefere class-specific skills when it comes to circlets and amulets. For example +1-2 to Paladin skill levels or +1-2 to Cold skills (Sorceres only).
  3. Check for resistances. The resistances on an item can be very useful for the user combined with other good mods. Resistances are often prefered in a particular order.
  • Resist all
  • Restist lightning
  • Resist Fire
  • Resist Poison
  • Restist Cold
  1. Another useful mod is bonus to strenght. Strenght is useful when you want to wear heavy armor/weapons. (some items also requires a specific amount of dexterity so bonus to this can also be quite good)
  2. If you're playing a character which deals damage through melee or missile weapons life steal and mana steal can be useful for the wealth of the character. A good life/mana can replace the use of mana/health potions. Note: Some monsters can't have their hitpoints stolen. Some items spawn with dual leech which means the item provide you with both mana and life. Those items combined with high resistances can be godly.
  3. If you're playing a spellcaster you might want to have the FCR-mod or "Faster cast rate" as it says on the item. This allows your character to cast his or her spells faster.
  4. Added life and mana are for some characters very valueable. The bonus life in particular raises the survival of your character.
  5. Circlets can also spawn with FRW "Faster run walk"-mod. I advice to aim for 30%.

Gloves/boots/belts[edit | edit source]

When it comes to boots, belts and gloves rare ones can beat the uniques. Here's a checklist you could use when a monster drops rare gloves/boots/belts. Some of the mods listed can only be spawned on a particular type of item.

  1. Still compare the item you've found to set and unique items. A good compare when it comes to boots is compare them with War Traveler.
  2. As mentioned before (in part I) resistances is quite good. But the resist all mod can be spawned on either of these.
  3. When it comes to boots FRW or "Faster run walk 30%" is a must. Unless you have other gear which provide a high value of FRW. (only boots)
  4. Belts can spawn with FHR "Faster hit recovery" which allows you to recover faster when you are hit by a monster. I would say 24% is the one to aim for, which is also the highest. (only belts)
  5. IAS or Increased Attack Speed is very popular and this mod can spawn on gloves. 20% is te value you wanna aim for. (only gloves)
  6. As mentioned before (in part I) strenght is useful when you want to wear heavy armor/weapons. Strenght can spawn on belts and gloves, not boots. Dexterity can spawn on gloves and boots, not belts.
  7. Life can only be spawned at belts while mana can be spawned on all three.
  8. Also gloves can spawn with +skills to a few skill-trees. +2 to the skill-tree you want is what I would recommend.

Note: When it comes to gloves crafting can be useful. I'm just gonna mention it short. By crafting a magical glove with a blood recepie you will get a % change to get a crushing blow with every hit. Also you'll be able to get the mods mentioned above.
