Ghost Trance (Wizard)

Ghost Trance is what Witch Doctors call their self-induced trance to reach Mbwiru Eikura, the Unformed Land.

Background

The Unformed Land is the true, sacred reality, which is veiled behind the physical one we normally experience, according to the beliefs of the umbaru race in the Teganze region of the vast Torajan Jungles.

The people sacrifice humans captured in ritual tribal wars to appease their gods in the Unformed Land.

Witch Doctors are finely attuned to this Unformed Land and are able to train their minds to perceive it through a combination of rituals and the use of selected roots and herbs found in the jungles. They call the state in which they interact with this other world the Ghost Trance.
