Bows have been seen in the game; one was dropped during the [[WWI 2008]] gameplay video, but the Barbarian in that movie did not pick it up or Numerous monsters and NPCs use itbows as well.

It is widely expected that the ==Bows and Xbows Concealed== [[fifth characterFile:Bow1.jpg|frame|Demon Hunter with bow.]] will be While a specialist short bow was seen to drop in the WWI June 2008 gameplay movie, no other bows and perhaps all types of were seen in-game until Blizzcon 2010. While no bows were seen in drops or equipped by characters before October 2010 and the Demon Hunter's debut, they were not missing from the game. Various [[NPCs]] have been seen using bows. Several , including wandering NPC warriors were seen using them in the WWI 2008 gameplay movie. These [[archer]]s attempted to accompany [[Deckard Cain]] and the [[Barbarian]] through the dungeon, but were picked off one at a time by various monsters.

[[Leah]] is seen was also shown holding a bow in town in the [[Caravan]] screenshots released in August 2010. It's unknown if she ever accompanies the player into [[combat]], or is just a sort of apprentice [[Rogue]] who only holds the bow for status points while in town.

The Prior to the Demon Hunter, the only bows seen so far have been equipped were by monsters and NPCs. A few examples are included below.
