Belial, one of the Lesser Evils, is confirmed to appear in Diablo III.

If he will side with Diablo and the Prime Evils, or will be some neutral demon against everyone is unknown, but he has a known animity towards Diablo and his brothers. If he has switched sides, it might be a tentative alliance.
