An '''Academic Spell''' is usually a low-level skill from which the [[Wizard]] reduces the cost of [[Arcane Power]] with 1 each time he or she levels-up. It is most likely that these spells are known by all users of magic and are learn by apprentices.
Also, the [[Obsidian]] rune effect of [[Energy Twister]] requires one of the Academic Spells in order to release all Wind Charges.
