Slowing Strikes was first shown at [[BlizzCon 2008]] when the [[Wizard]] was unveiled as a Tier 4 skill in the [[Conjuring Skill Tree]]. It was one of many new skills hinting at a [[melee]]-Wizard, with skills like [[Magic Weapon]]. It was removed sometime prior to [[BlizzCon 2009]].
