[[Stilgar's corpse]] is a clickable dead body which randomly spawns in the [[Desolate Sands]], [[Act II]]. It most likely was included as an [[Easter Egg]] in the original game release though it may have been added in patch 1.0.1.

Clicking the corpse will yield standard loot and shortly thereafter summon eight [[rockworm]].

Stilgar is a fictional character appearing in the first three novels of the ''Dune'' series written by Frank Herbert. The Naib, or chieftain, of Sietch Tabr on the planet Arrakis, Stilgar belongs to a race known as the Fremen; a desert people existing in the baron sand covered wastes of Arrakis.<ref>[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stilgar Stilgar] - Wikipedia 28/02/13</ref>

Other references to Frank Herbert's ''Dune'' in Diablo 3 include [[Shaitan the Broodmother]], a unique [[rockworm]] also randomly spawning in the [[Desolate Sands]], whose descriptor is "The Great Maker", an allusion to the sand worms of Arrakis.

The '''Wheel of Misfortune''' is an [[achievement]] that can spawn in the [[Desolate Sands]] in Act II.

If an [[Ancient Device]] spawns in front of a platform breaking the device will cause one of ten things to happen. As the device will not always spawn it could take some time to work you way through the ten at which point you will earn the achievement.

* The Veiled Treasure - a small dungeon with numerous [[Resplendent Chest]]s inside will spawn, complete with [[elite]] packs. There is also a high probability of a [[Treasure Goblin]] spawning, as well.
* The Fowl Lair - This dungeon contains an enemy that is most horrendous and revolting. With grease.
* A pile of corpses will spawn, which in turn will spawn a group of [[Accursed]].
* A normal chest will spawn.
* A [[Resplendent Chest]] will spawn.
* [[Gold]] will rain down in small doses from a slain merchant, like that of the Countess's chest in Diablo II.
* A [[Superunique]] Sand Golem named Ernutet, Guardian of the Veiled Treasure will spawn, along with two companions. He has the [[illusionist]] [[boss modifier]].
* An ancient urn will spawn. It breaks easily.
* A randomized group of desert [[monster]]s will spawn (and can spawn as elites).

The best way to farm this is to take the [[Scouring of Caldeum]] quest. From the [[Hidden Camp]], take the waypoint to the [[Ancient Path]] and make your way north-northeast across the map. This is generally more efficient then taking the waypoint directly to the [[Desolate Sands]] as that waypoint shifts positions and it takes the player longer to orient themselves on the map.
