The Devil's Anvil is a rune effect in Hammer of the Ancients, a Fury-spending Barbarian skill.

This rune effect creates a tremor that remains in place for 2 seconds, considerably debuffing the speed of all enemies who pass through it. Patch v1.0.4 slightly reduced the proc chances of this effect.


Post-Release Changes[edit]

Patch 1.0.4 buffed the base skill but reduced the proc chances for The Devil's Anvil from 100% to 80%.

    • Weapon damage increased from 200% to 325%
  • Skill Rune – The Devil's Anvil
    • Proc coefficient reduced from 1 to 0.08

Prior to the February 2012 skill and rune system overhaul, this effect was granted by the An Obsidian Rune, which created the following effect:
