Safe Passage is a rune effect in Teleport, a Utility Wizard skill that allows for instant movement to a distant location.

This rune effect grants a defensive buff and for 4 seconds after the Teleport, the Wizard takes 30% less damage. As Teleport is usually used to escape from danger, this would actually be more useful if the defensive buff covered the 4 seconds before the skill was used. But as that would require some bending of the relative flow of space and time, and quantum rune effects are not in the game, it's not an option.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by the Obsidian Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
