Long Fuse is a rune effect in Spike Trap, is a Hatred-generating trap-like Demon Hunter skill.
This rune effect increases the arming time from 1.2 to 2.0 seconds, but increases the damage as well. The arming time is how long a delay there is between the Demon Hunter laying down the trap, it kicking into action. This is critical since it makes it useless to toss down Spike Traps when enemies are right on top of the Demon Hunter, since they will pursue the DH away from the traps.
A player skilled at putting traps where monsters will be might not mind this delay, given the greater damage potential.

Lay a trap that arms after 1.5 seconds and triggers when an enemy approaches. The trap has a 0.5 second re-arming time and can explode up to 3 times, each time dealing 340% weapon damage as Fire to all enemies within 8 yards.
You can have a maximum of 3 Spike Traps active at one time.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by the Crimson Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
Increase the maximum number of traps that can be out simultaneously to 10.
