Chain of Torment

Chain of Torment is a rune effect in Sentry, a Discipline-spending Demon Hunter skill trap.

This skill rune changes the skill entirely. Instead of the turret firing at enemies, it creates a chain between the Demon Hunter and the turret, which deals 40% weapon damage to every enemy it touches. The damage is calculated at a speed based on the Demon Hunter's attack rate.

It's not known how far the chain can stretch, or if there is any limit to how many enemies it might damage at once.

Prior to the skill revision in February 2012, this rune effect was enabled by the Crimson Rune, granting the following effect with a level 7 runestone:
